the town's name says it all. here in happy, texas you'll find an array of people all too eager to prove to
town's name wrong. i'm sure if you interviewed a select few of the population they'd rename the town
in a few seconds. it's to the town where everyone knows who you are and what you're up to, it's pretty
damn hard to get into this town and the minute they've made themselves a parasite on your skin, there's
no going back. the people born here are either eager to bolt or to live the american dream with the kids
running' in the same circles as they did when they were their age. then there's the people who jumped
the gun and raced off before their chute was open and felt the lights of home tugging them back for reasons
that are pretty well known around here. and for some reason the town shuns the newcomers, even if most
of the time, they're the best damn dose of reality that the town has. it doesn't take you long to react to the
town though, even if there's a small silent rule that anyone to come to happy has to reside here for at least
five years before becoming an actual local. of course, there are the dreamers too, who would enjoy hitch
hiking their way clean of this place, but it does say without going, you'll try anything once in this town.
big or small, you'll end up loving it here, and most of the time, that's a fact. from words like 'hell' all the
way down to 'dangerous' and 'insane', the town has many nicknames. that's just the thing about a small
town like happy, where you're famous if you crash your truck, or rebound from college, the running joke
is that no one can compare to each other, but everyone can say nothing compares to life on a dirt road.
